Fridge Temperature Logger
The content of your refrigerator is often delicate medical products, research data or samples that need precise cellular temperature monitoring. You need to be alerted in time to fix critical temperature changes long before any damage is caused by freezing or overheating.
You are looking for a wireless monitoring system that gives you the peace of mind and enables you to sleep at night knowing that your products are stored correct and safe. You need a refrigerator with remote data logging that is measuring accurately because of it being calibrated to the most stringent standards so you meet and exceed any external audits of your facilities.
SYNAP IoT data loggers are industry leaders using next generation technology that provides pharmacies, laboratories and pharmaceutical companies with the highest level of monitoring and support.
SYNAP IoT cellular datalogger tracks changes and lets you view the data in easy to understand graphs as well as in PDF-format. Calibration of our dataloggers also has guaranteed compliance with ISO 17025 regulations.
Does My Refrigerator Need a Wireless Datalogger?
Recent studies show that 20% of refrigerators used for storing medical substances freeze products too much. That is why temperature monitoring in refrigerators is very important and crucial for businesses. To prevent costly and in some cases irrevocable damage, it is also important to be able to receive alarms by email if the refrigerator is malfunctioning.
If our cellular temperature logger warns you that the temperature is changing, you will be able to act and fix the refrigerator temperature in time to save your delicate and valuable products.
SYNAP IoT is one of many preferred solutions to collect, log and track temperatures in refrigerators for the food, medical, pharma, biotech and laboratory industries because we not only provide hardware of the highest quality. We also deliver the most safe cloud solution that is FDA CFR 21 Part 11 compliant and our temperature loggers are always online providing real-time overview of temperature changes.
What Does a SYNAP IoT Refrigerator WiFi Datalogger Do?
SYNAP IoT’s Cellular datalogger is easily installed as it does not need to connect to a WiFi network
Connect to the Internet by it self on all available cellular network providers
Monitor temperatures online
The cellular temperature sensor will constantly monitor temperatures and provide warning and alerts if the temperature changes by email
Easy Cloud data management
Track, record and investigate historic measurements online
The SYNAP IoT Portal lets you track historical measurements and compare measurements
Intuitive Portal solution that is constantly being improved based on customer input
The data can be downloaded as raw data or viewed as graphs. Historical data is also shown in graphs to visualize temperature fluctuations
PDF reports for download that contains incidents, min., max., average temperatures and also all data collected
The data is sent to our Cloud solution and stored in a geo-redundant database and also in a second database. All communication between our temperature data loggers are send encrypted
Unlimited data storage

Why Should I USE a Data logger with Monitoring Over a Regular USB Datalogger?
Click here to read the full comparison between a USB data logger and a SYNAP IoT Solution
The biggest difference between a USB data logger and a monitoring solution from SYNAP IoT is that it’s not possible to receive alarms with USB dataloggers that are not capable of connecting to the internet.
SYNAP IoT temperature sensors are connecting to the internet by it self and is not relying on the facility’s Internet connection. A SYNAP IoT uses cellular technology to connect to the Internet and if a cellular provider is not accessible, it will automatically connect to another provider.
If the facility loses the power, the SYNAP IoT temperature logger will operate on it’s own 6 hour battery backup making sure that crucial temperature logging data is still send.
If the SYNAP IoT temperature logger is not able to send temperature data online, it will store it on the temperature logger until it gain Internet access again.
Why Should I Choose a CEllular or Wireless Temperature Sensor over an Ethernet Enabled Refrigerator?
Most commercial refrigerators are not sold with any type of temperature sensors or data loggers, some refrigerators for medical and pharmaceutical use come equipped with an ethernet connection and an ethernet data logger. But these systems are not FDA CFR 21 Part 11 compliant as the SYNAP IoT Cloud solution is. Any changes made to a temperature logger must be logged in an audit log where it clearly show who mad the change and when it was made.
The primary advantage of an ethernet data logger is that the refrigerator can be connected to centrally controlled monitoring systems.
The downside of ethernet loggers is the price. The refrigerators themselves are much more costly and onsite installation, as well as onsite calibration by the producer, drive the price even higher.
SYNAP IoT’s Portal Solution can be accessed using API and that way connected to centrally controlled surveillance systems.
It is simple, a commercial freezer does not come with a compliance approved system, SYNAP IoT does.
Is it possible to Calibrate a SYNAP IoT Cellular Datalogger?
SYNAP IoT have developed and patented our automatic ISO 17025 calibration system. The calibration is included in our PharmaGuard and PharmaGuard ULT subscriptions.
The calibration is using traceable references and approved using a four eye principle. The calibration of SYNAP IoT temperature datalogger is done with strict compliance to ISO 17025 specifications in order to verify that the datalogger is measuring correctly all the time.
Every year, SYNAP IoT will send a calibration device that is placed next to the data logger that must be calibrated and using next generation technology the two data loggers communicate with each other and the installed temperature logger is calibrated without human intervention.
Calibration certificates for proof of compliance are located online and are easily accessed when needed together with the previous issued certificates.
Are There Any Restrictions on the Type of Refrigerator the Datalogger can be Used In?
No, SYNAP IoT temperature logger can be installed in any refrigerator on the market. SYNAP IoT temperature logger uses different high precision temperature probes used for different types of refrigerators.
Below are the most commonly used refrigerator brands in Labs and Pharmaceutical companies.
Liebherr
Gram
Vestfrost
Boston Scientific
Binder
GfL/Lauda
Arctiko
How do I Connect the Temperature logger?
Just plug in the temperature probe and the power. The cellular temperature logger will automatically connect to the SYNAP IoT Portal solution and start logging.
Work Smarter, not Harder
Temperature logging and compliance does not have to to be hard. You just need SYNAP IoT!
